A TRANSIT visa
is meant for non-Brazilian citizens stopping in Brazil on the way to a third country for
longer than normal travel connections would require. The issuance of a TRANSIT visa
requires the following supporting documents:
a valid (not
expiring within 6 months) passport
already containing a visa for the onward country of destination, if needed;

Visa application. Please fill out
electronically in the following website:
https://scedv.serpro.gov.br
. Once you have done it, print it out and sign it;
one recent passport-type photograph;
a ticket or itinerary print-out from a
carrier or travel agent attesting to the acquisition of the ticket, with flight or vessel
identification and dates of transit through Brazil and onward destination.
A TRANSIT visa allows for a single entry
of a maximum of ten days and is subject to a consular fee varying from US$20.00 to
US$150.00 plus the applicable fees (see section Entry
Visas General Information).
